I voted but I could include atleast 10 in 'my favorites' category. I think Grimm and Spiehlman are both special players with the kind of 'every time they touch the ball, the crowd will stand' skills. They will be exccedlingly fun and thrilling to watch. Match up nightmares if we put a tall possession reciever and couple of the excellent tight ends out there. A diverse passing attack coupled with power I and even some option running game. The defensive coordinator will not know how to personnel for us. The guys we have coupled with the players we are adding will be almost impossible to game plan for. We can be 'Fun & Gun' or "Run & Run" with a substitution grouping. The challenge is getting O linemen who can run and pass pro well with power. Our line is getting better and with the upgraded weight training (Boyd is back!) the 'pipeline' can be rebuilt over the coming three years. We are having much better luck finding 'skill' players and if the 2017 class ends up being all its got the potential to be, we will be well on our way back to the elite program group. No more third place divsion finishes - we will be relevant nationally. The national media has had plenty of time to kick us while we are down and soon we will be the 'cinderella' team that will quickly reignite the Husker passion across the nation. In 1997 after all the success we were "America's team". We have many millions of fans all over the country that are anxious for us to return. Husker Nation is for real, although it has been dormant, it is not dead! I am excited. I also expect Riley and company to pick up a few more guys over the coming months via transfers, etc. Guys come out of the woodwork. I.M. Hipp while not a great RB was certainly a great example. He hitchhiked from S.Carolina to Lincoln to try to walk on without even being known. That was the 1970s.
Nebraska football is still a great and recognized name. Many coaches know of Nebraska football. While the H.S. players may not remember the legends, their dads and coaches still do. Many will remember them with a degree of awe and respect and appreciation not found with the modern champions.
