Who do you want as our LAST Commits?

If we stop at 25:

Newby

Willis

Vandenburg

Cochran

Clark

Joseph

Collins

Suttles

Ok I went long by one. I am sure we have room for 26 this year. By the way that is a top 15 class in the country and 3rd in the B1G if it plays out like that, which isn't out of the question.

After combining this year's committed list with last years signees. We are short CB's and could use another OL or 2 to fill needs and have a somewhat balanced class among all the positions.

So my wish list is 2 cb, and 2 ol and the JUCO TE because that's an immediate need. I have given up on the JUCO DT's.

1) Willis

2) Cochran

3) Morris (Hoping Mora bolts for the Chargers and he switches last minute)

4) Dixon (Have him play CB)

5) Vandenburg

Best available

6) Newby

7) Clark

I would like to see us get a commitment out of one of the DEs we offered the past couple of days. I like the DE that is commited to Iowa State a little better than the DE out of South Carolina.

We are sitting at 19 commits. If we go to 25, we need 6 more.

Vandenburg

Suttles or Miller if Singelton counts towards last year and we can take one more.

That would finish the class of pretty well.

To my knowledge there are 9 spots still open. I don't think we will get 9 more commits, but maybe 7 or 8.

The players that I could see as realistic opportunities to have as commitments with just under a month to go:

Terrell Newby 4-Star RB

Trevell Dixon 3-Star ATH

Boaz Joseph 3-Star CB

Brian Lemelle 3-Star WR

Casey Sayles 2-Star TE (if we offer)

Ernest Suttles 3-Star DE

Drake Martinez 3-Star OLB/S

Matt Finnin 3-Star JUCO OT

Cethan Carter 3-Star TE/FB

Other possibilities:

Priest Willis 5-Star CB

Jaylen Miller 3-Star DE

James Clark 4-Star WR (visiting Jan. 11)

Aaron Cochran 3-Star OT

Damarious Randall 3-Star JUCO DB

Branden Vandenburg 3-Star JUCO TE (Visiting Jan. 18)

*****I am hoping for one off the radar late target that comes in and commits.

My prediction is we land commitments from the following star levels:

4 Star: 1

3 Star: 7

2 Star: 1

Dream scenario

5 Star: 1

4 Star: 2

3 Star: 6

"Stealing" Quales from Washington would be a dream, but not realistic until a visit is scheduled...if that happens.

You really think that we will take 28 in this class? I would think 25 or 26 with schollies being awarded to a couple walk-ons like Janovich.

Well, now I'm hearing that some are expecting us to take as many as 27-28 in this class. With Vandenburg off the table, my list would be:

Newby

Clark

Suttles

Cochran

Willis

Dixon

Carter

Finnen

Joseph

Martinez is next on the list.

With Singleton its 20 and he'll count against the numbers. We plan to take 26 at this point. WE need a DE and DT, 2 OL, and 1 DB and 1 WR but we could give up the WR for another DB. We should have commit #21 this afternoon unless something changed and we'll probably add two more by Monday to have us at 23.

I only count 19 with Singleton unless your counting someone that isnt public yet. Newby for 20. Who do you think is a good canidate to commit this weekend besides Suttles?

Edit: Just heard possible good shot with Quincy the A&M decommit is that who your hearing here?
