Good-bye, as he is not in your top 10.I don't want Campbell here, but he'd be a better hire than Rhule.

Hell nah!!!! What makes you even think that to say that. I mean I want to understand where you are coming from to make that statement.I don't want Campbell here, but he'd be a better hire than Rhule.

But he’s from Louisiana, so that should trump all his shortcomings. For those saying Mickey should be given the HC job at Nebraska (still can't believe they are out there) consider the following:
No experience being HC at any major level.
Questionable leadership ability allowing Whipple to remain on staff after several games blundered away by our offense.
Questionable end of game management skills and game time management skills.
Has no idea that on a windy day you want the wind at your back in the 4th quarter.
Allowed Whipple to keep Purdy in when it was clear he is not an FBS level QB which lost us games.
Mickey is an amazing WR coach and recruiter. Any HC would love to have him around and hopefully he is retained by Matt. But to make him the HC would be a monumental blunder and one we can ill afford given our predicament.
One of these is too weak:
Matt Campbell's best record in the Big XII*: 8-5
Matt Rhule's best record in the Big XII: 11-3
*non-COVID year
12 years and never broke into double digit wins Matt Campbell?? Currently last place in the Big 12 Iowa State Matt Campbell?? Talk about Mike Riley 2.0.I don't want Campbell here, but he'd be a better hire than Rhule.
Talking about Rhule being the next coming of Riley while also talking up Campbell. Campbell is more similar to Riley than Rhule at the college level.Iowa State has never, and will never, attract talent - doesn't matter who the coach is.
Baylor has ballers every year by virtue of being in Texas. It's still a crap job which is absolutely not comparable to the B1G meat grinder.
Campbell will end up somewhere great eventually, while Rhule's best days professionally speaking, are most likely behind him.

Its not necessarily true on Iowa State or Baylor. You could say the same thing about TCU. Campbell isnt going to end up anywhere real soon except for his house if he doesn't turn Iowa State into a winnable program. They don't expect for you to win championships there but they also dont expect you to be dead last in the conference either. Matt Campbell status as a coach has went way down with the losses that have piled up and just bc Rhule lost in the NFL that doesn't mean his best days professionally are behind him. College and Pros are totally different.Iowa State has never, and will never, attract talent - doesn't matter who the coach is.

How? By what means is he a stronger college coach?I'm definitely NOT "talking up" Campbell - simply saying he's a stronger college HC than Rhule.
Dude, just stop already.Trust the same process that gave us Callahan, fired Pelini, hired Riley, and then kept Frost for one year too long? Nope, done trusting...pay TOP DOLLAR and give us a home run hire.
You don't like Rhule. He's even worse than Campbell in your opinion. Rhule is going to fail?
If he gets hired here, yes, I believe Rhule will end up somewhere between Frost and Riley record-wise.
