Who's Leaving? 2024/25 version

I have a serious question.  These guys who are hitting the portal- are they practicing and then one day they don't show up (because they announced their decision to get into the portal)?  Do they stop working out/eating with their teammates at the training table/practicing?  Would some of these players benefit from Agents handling their affairs when holding out for more NIL?

 
RBs like him are a dime a dozen in the portal.  He’ll end up at a Maryland or Mississippi St or Va Tech type school.

 
Every time I see a guy enter the portal, I have 1 of 2 reactions.  Damn or who.......With the "damn" reaction, I just remind myself none of these guys have ever had a winning record at NU.....More 1 score losses than I can remember and having that uncanny ability to collapse with the game on the line.  I wish them the best and hope they find success, but it's not like Jeanty is leaving or some other all B1G guy.  Ty was the only one named and he was 3rd team....No one else made that 3 team list..... 

 
Word is Dowdell recently signed a new deal with 1890 for more than he got last year.  Then he heard what portal RBs were going for and wants top tier RB money.

Supposedly Michigan is looking hard at him, which is surprising to me.

Like $150,000 solid?

There has to be a stop to the spending. I’d rather spend on o-lineman that create holes so big that Ray Charles could run through them. Running back is a position that I think average is fine.

The timing of this turns into a character issue for me.  I hope they let him walk without trying to negotiate anything.

I think situations like this are part of our loser culture.

The timing of the transfer portal was decided by the adults in charge when they created the transfer portal and forced it to fall within the framework of college semesters/quarters. The players are doing what’s best for them within guidelines set by the NCAA. You want to call the players “losers”’, but the blame lies within the leadership who put this system in place.

I think by timing he is referring to Dowdell signing a new deal to stay then found out he didn't ask for enough.
