WHOSE TO BLAME? COACHES OR PLAYERS....

What was so great about Pelini?? I remember his defense getting lit up a few times by teams that werent very good!!

We'll see you at the next loss then, k? Afterall, we don't see you after wins. Fact.
usually i come here to check the "heartbeat of husker nation" not to add my 0.02.

i must have missed the "positive contributions only" disclaimer at the top of the board.

This loss is on the coaches and our offensive line. It is not our blackshirts fault that coz didn't make any halftime adjustments. Okie St went in at half and figured out what needed to change. Where as the 'Skers looked like they came out with the same sh#t we did in the first half. No adjustments. The offensive line is another pointed finger. GOOD LORD, HOW MANY TIMES CAN TAYLOR KEEP GETTING UP!

Congratulation to Okie St. and good luck next week. Kick some Wronghorn a$$.

We are still in it boys. A Big XII Championship, a Fiesta Bowl Birth, a top 10 end of season ranking.

DON'T GIVE UP THE FAITH! :bonez

It's so hard to get a handle on this club. Consistent inconsistency continues.

I kept getting the feeling most of the day that the players just weren't into it, would rather be doing anything except playing football and couldn't wait to get back to Lincoln so they could attend some wild Halloween parties. The mental part of the game was sorely lacking across the board -- constant breakdowns and low intensity.

I think the season-long pattern of big highs (leading Texas late, for instance) and big lows (losing to Texas late) wears on everyone involved in the program.

I'm not mad at the players or anyone and am just stating some observations.

I also think they'll bounce back nicely, regain their focus and intensity and have a great game against Missouri.

To the post a couple up, I can't believe that anyone would still be blaming Solich or his recruits. That is ridicules!!! By now, if they are using any of Solich's players they must think they are good enough to play! If they are wrong, that is their fault!
:yeah :yeah :yeah i agree Mike, i am sick of the let's blame solich recruits for losing excuse...sucks!

top 10 ranking with 3 losses?? are you kidding me??

Why does somebody have to be "blamed"?? As if we were supposed to beat OSU??? Why not just accept that we are still rebuilding?? We have to get talent on this team.

Where do I start? OSU was a better team team then most on this board gave them credit for (check the predictions post). The offense for the most part looked good although I believe the O line stil has alot of room for improvement....ALOT in the pass protection department!! Cosgrove....not sure what to think. Is it the players not executing or his defense. I think its both, however I tend to lean and overall think its his predictable schemes. To be honest...I have NEVER been a fan of his. Its really easy to look back and judge but lets be real....Pelini's D with less talent was better. Overall, I am still a fan of BC although I don't always believe he makes the best calls. Cosgrove...time to go. O line...improved but my patience is wearing thin. B Jax....STUD!!!! Glenn....STUD!!!! LuckY...made some good runs but still cant see the holes and falls down if the wind blows more than 5 mph or someone thinks about touching him....where are his YACs that B Jax gets? Yes, I know I am going to take some heat for this post. I only ask for fair honest feedback with facts...not some heated converstation with no basis.

I cringe(d) everytime I seen the LB's moving up into the box to show blitz. It was to the point I was screaming "Don't blitz! Don't blitz!" I made a post on another forum one time showing what Coz' defenses ranked when he was at Wiscosin vs. what NU's was prior to and after his arrival. Needless to say, he doesn't have a very good track record (you can go here to see his rankings from the past but for some insight, in '03 NU finished 11th in Total Defense and Wisconsin finished 43rd...in 04 we finished 56th...Wisconsin finished 9th  ) although I'm willing to give him at least one more year to see how things work out.

I wonder if that is a coincidence or a sign???

I'm beginning to think it's a sign. As much as some fans didn't like Pelini, letting Pelini walk was a huge mistake on Callahan's part.

I liked Pelini too. I thought he brought emotion to the team. He was so fired up when he was the head coach vs Mich St. It might have been a mistake, but BC wanted to get "his guys" and leave the solich legacy in the past.

Agree!!!!! Look at the stats!!!! Anyone tracking what Bo P has done at LSU? I understand wanting to surround yourself with those you know or those who are loyal but letting talent go....mistake.
