Why Coaches usually don't move laterally from one "Big 5" program to another

This article is about KEvin Sumlin at A&M, but it really explains why it's so rare that a coach moves from a program in a "Big 5" conference to another. WOrth the read.

If you are a "lower tier" school of the big 5, you're likely to A. Get fired for doing a bad job, or B. Take a job upgrade.

If you are a "top tier" school of the big 5, you are likely to get fired and go to a lower school or broadcasting for a year or 2, or stay where you are.

sorry, didnt realize TAMU fans were so sensitive over losing bear bryant. i also thought stallings was hired away as well. so i made the comment in jest thinking bama had stolen 2 coaches from TAMU that led them to an MNC.
