Why didn't we play the fake?

Stoops likes to take chances

The Sooners missed a FG, had one blocked, and had a bad snap on another,

The were kicking a long FG into the wind.

Did noone see this coming?

I made the call from my living room before the play. You cannot tell me that the possibility wasn't in the minds of most people watching the game. In a situation like that, you do not go for the block. The chances of them missing it were good anyway.

Being aggressive yes, but being "smart" is another thing....

You can't honestly tell me that BC didn't consider OU faking that kick... It was a 40 yarder into a tremendous wind.... Hell, I was yelling fake from row 94....

I understand that NU has been very successful at blocking kicks, but reality says that the odds are LOW that you are going to block a kick in any game, let alone 2 in one game..... ( I know Pit)...

Callahan said in the post game he took the blame for that call. It's a chance you take, if they kick and we block it we are in good shape. I like how you said you made the call from your living room, its a lot easier making it there I suppose <_<

We had Bo Ruud off the ball on every attempt they had. Yo u would think he would of been able to catch a kicker that had to run 12 yards to get the first down. Callahan took the blame for that call. Just one of a couple things that cost us the win.

Obviously, some of you don't get the point I am trying lay out. Yes it is easy to 2nd guess and make calls from my living room. I am just trying to point out that it seemed like a good chance Stoops would fake it, and we should have played for it, not gone after the block.

This makes me wonder, I would have liked to think the staff and players would have been looking for this. A 45 yarder into a driving wind.
