Why isn't there a "Fire Barney" thread?

I have never felt that Barney Cotton was the best candidate for the job. I know several people close to the program who consider him lazy and that type of attitude flows down to players. I'm sure the players like him, he does not make many demands on players and does not hold them accountable. I don't care if he has ties in the administration, the guy is a loser where ever he is, get rid of him and Watson, We need a new fresh offensive coaching staff..

Technically it was 3 OL and Helu on the ground, but you're right.

My priority is SW/Gilmore simply "must" be shown the door. If Barney too, so be it. This offense is total garbage for years now.....there's no use in pretending otherwise.

If this is true, then it really matters very little who the next OC is because it will be same $hit different year.

 
Barney is terrible and has always been terrible. It is retarded that this guy has the job he does. It is also retarded that he gets a pass or had been getting a pass because he played at NU. Anyone that doesn't have him as 1A or 1B on their list of coaches that should be fired are blinded by his NU ties.

 
I former coworker of mine played under Cotton in '01, and he never once had anything good to say about his coaching acumen. I groaned when he was hired in the first place, and have had no reason to change my mind.

 
I have been on the "Fire Barney" bandwagon most of the season, as well as last season. What used to be one of the strengths of Nebraska football has become a joke. We had five offensive linemen last night that couldn't stop a three man rush. Pathetic.

 
The same guy who thought it was a good idea to hire him and did hire him is also the same guy that will be hiring our new offensive coordinator. I'm just saying...
