Why Lucky is our best back

I know a coach personally at NU, happens to be Jordan. Hmm...

I'll also put myself on a limb and say you're an idiot and Glenn will be t he man. Just wait and see.
Maybe when Lucky is gone. Or when they are both seniors, they will be like White and Bush for USC. But I hope something like that happens this upcoming year. Maybe Glenn will be a stud but right now Lucky is the man, and I do not see that changing. But I hope that they are both studs, I don't know if that is just me.....

I didn't read this whole thread, but I see some comments about his NFL potential and there is one play that will almost assuredly show up on every scout's clipboard and Mel Kiper will likely show it. It is the TD run vs the Kitties.

Obviously, it was a beautiful run with a few nice fakes, but the choice he made at the line was so perfect. Judging by the backside blocking, it would appear that going back against the grain *might* have been the playcall, but even so, how many backs don't even bother? Two plays later, he does basically the same thing (minus the TD) and shows his vision.

You can't teach a lot of things, but you can work on most of them. Vision is not one of them. Patience is right next to it.

Lucky has that and it is so awesome having him around.

Not many guys could have made that run. It was incredible and Lucky is only starting to scratch the surface of his potential. I am glad he is out of the hospital and I hope he recovers quickly so he can do some more amazing things this fall.

I believe Lucky has all the intangibles to become a great back he just has to work on some things and then he will break out and people will definately begin to recognize his name. ;)

I am not quite sure what all the debate is. I am damn glad we have both of them. They are both very good backs with different strengths and running styles. These days this is what teams are going to. Look at Jacksonville this year, they had Taylor, a bigger back and then Jones-Drew a shiftier back come in at times and totally change the look of the defense. Or look at Pitt. last year with Bettis and Parker. I know Bettis is bigger and not comparable to Glenn yet but you get the idea. Coaches obviously like to switch the temp of the game. Lucky is our speed back who can break it at any given time and also a fantastic receiver out of the backfield. Glenn is our power back who breaks down defenses and makes them not want to hit anymore by the time its the fourth quarter. Thats when lucky comes in and breaks a 50 yarder. They both compliment each other greatly and I love the fact we have both of them. I am honestly looking for them to be like a bush-white tandom this year. Are you guys saying that you would have been talking like this if we were talking about bush and white? I dont think so, so we shouldnt be talking about either one of them in the way I have seen above.
