This is the most striking argument to me. If one or the other had come in and done well, you could call it a coincidence. But as both of them have beaten the top teams in the conference in their first two years, I think that's a pretty clear indication that the SEC isn't as head-and-shoulders above everyone else as is often portrayed.

Should have just bolded the first sentence. Only one title game appearance but they've beaten pretty much everyone else in the conference in two years.

It started LONG before the SEC started getting the benefit of the doubt title game bids over other schools...

No one is whining, the only whining I;m hearing is from the SEC. Georgia only lost because of injuries, Alabama wasn't motivated. Hell even down here there was a radio guy who said that the only reason Iowa sold more tickets than LSU was because Iowa fans wanted to escape the snow.

For the record my Huskers didn't make excuses, we just lined up and beat UGA.

That's the thing. Teams do beat the SEC on a consistent basis. It's just the one team at the top that wins and all of a sudden the entire conference is awesome.
