Why was there no Safety to prevent a long pass???

Forget the pass. Why in God's name were we on defense? You don't punt it away on a 4th and 1. Bo Pelini lost this game. Him, and no one else.

 
that one play did not lose the game in my opinion. the series where NU went from scoring a touchdown to having to punt because of penalties was the reason the Huskers lost this game.

 
There was a safety on that side of the field.. They just let him get behind them. Plain and simple. The sky is not falling and the coaches did fine aside from the decision to punt at the end.

 
I don't think the play calling was fine.....they went away from the run way too easily inside the 20....of course, it's hard to blame the play calling when Lee misses half a dozen wide open straightforward passes...

Absolutely disagree. Punting was the right call as painful as it is to say. Our defense had been playing lights out.

 
The long pass was against a Cover 2 defense and O'Hanlon lost track of what the hell was going on, a reoccurring theme.

And for God's sake yes you punt the ball on the 4th and 1 and make an inept offense and a QB lacking dominate throwing skills drive a long ways to try to score winning TD. NO BRAINER!! Matt O'Hanlon will enjoy special teams the rest of the year while watching Thenarse.

Bo give out 10 Blackshirts this week.

No the whole o-line lost the game if anyone lost the game.

But I really dont think the reason we lost was all on the o-line

 
#33 was the SAFETY, he didn't do his JOB!!! OL did great, it was Watson and Lee that cost the game, along with sub-par WRs. Poor red zone play calling and finally seeing the REAL Zac Lee under pressure.

No, with that much time left they should have had someone back on the 20 yard line looking for anyone breaking away like that. That was totally stupid. Why would you take a chance on letting someone slip through the coverage? This was totally a boob job by the coaching staff... :steam '

Bo was a defensive coordinator, he should have known better...we would have been better off going for it with 4th and one, at least we would have had a chance then.
