Wide Receiver Notes

Sounds like there were several drops again today after a similar report from Saturday. Hopefully that trend doesn't continue.

 
Did a lot of mixing up of players at practice today at all positions. Saw a report where a trio of Allen, Westerkamp and Turner gave the defense some problems. Coaches said they are looking at ways to get both of the slot guys on the field together.

 
Lane Hovey's name continues to come up fairly frequently considering he's a walk-on at probably our deepest position right now. Probably still not in the mix a lot this year but might see some spot duty and could be one to watch next year.

 
I believe Burtch has been banged up but it sounds like Moore has a pretty good hold on the Z receiver spot with Bell and Westerkamp owning the other two.
