I don't know about anyone else on here. But I thought we would be running out of the Wildcat tonight. I was wishing for it. Why bust it out against Wyoming when we didn't run it against Wisconsin?

 
I really wanted us to run the wildcat 15-20 times this game. You take Taylor's mistakes out of the game and let Burkhead wear down the defense north-south.

 
On the bright side, towards the end of the game we ran a lot of option. It has come a long way since the first game of the season.

 
Yes, in retrospect, this should have been a big piece of the gameplan.

I have defended Beck, but I think as the week goes by that will turn more into disappointment. We did not have a good game on offense, and I think Beck was a little not ready for prime time.

 
His playcalling was nothing short of bizarre. He went away from anything that even remotely worked. For everyone saying what else could we do on 2nd and long and 3rd and long? Well, there's always punting the ball away with a punter averaging somewhere around 50 yards a punt. It was obvious Wisconsin thought we were going to pass, so it's possible we pick up some big chunks of yards running on 3rd and long. The playcalling he was making on those downs and distances was almost like saying hey we have absolutely zero faith in our defense. We're gonna have to win a trackmeet today.
