Will Cody green start in 09?

Most likely not. It is a lot to ask for a true freshman QB to start. It is a big help to be around for the spring semester and spring practice, but I'm not sure it is enough. I think the only way he starts is if we see a melt down (or injuries) by at least one guy ahead of him...

I think he'll start right away. I've heard some really good things about him (her?). As long as the birth goes smoothly I expect we'll have a four-year starter type.

 
To start off the season I wouls say no. He have to wait hoow he unfolds and how the other quarterbacks play. I think it could be just like a tyrod taylor deal

 
NO! Why throw him in the fire when we don't need to? We have several players who can tow the load while he learns the playbook.

The best thing for Cody and the team, is to give him time in the system. Which WILL take time to learn. He'll be that much better of a QB when he does start, if they show patience while bringing him along.

 
i would def say yes, all he needs to do is just "manage the game" and if he can actually do some good things in the passing game, then great we could be looking at a really good Husker football team

 
Why put all that pressure, we have already some guys that LOOK capable of doing the job!!!I think we should worry more about what are we going to do with Rex!!

and no he will not start next year.......he is not the only 4 star qb on the team by the way.......
