LINCOLN — Nebraska coach Bo Pelini said sophomore linebacker Will Compton is ahead of schedule, but not quite ready to return,

“It is hard to say how far off he is,” Pelini said. “Probably weeks. He is walking around and doing better. It’ll take however long it takes for a bone to heal. He is ahead of schedule I think. Time will tell.”

compton is great, but say hes healthy for the texas or osu, would you trust him over david or martin after the amount of starting reps they will have gotten by then? bo would pick the best players in practice, I think it would take awhile before compton could get back in rhythm and edge one of starters out. But yeah either way his return is important we need the depth.
