Will Muschamp supposedly in talks with Tennessee?

Tons of chatter going on around the net that Muschamp is 1st on the shortlist for the Vols job.

I thought about starting a thread about this exact same thing but figured I wouldn't since my Bo and Carl Tennessee isn't going to well and probably would've got a lot of these.....

I highly doubt that Muschamp will leave Texas but then again a lot of people didn't expect Carrol to leave USC and Kiffin to leave Tennessee within a year.

Sometimes the need to act fast leads you to the obvious choice. No need to overanalyze the candidates, Muschamp should be their guy.

The guys who know around Austin are saying he's not going anywhere. Supposedly, Mack has given him full control over recruiting and a few other things to indicate Mack maybe stepping down sooner rather than later....

Just what I'm hearing down here.

IMO, if he only has to wait 2 or 3 more years here at Texas, stay and wait for the job, otherwise take the Tennessee job...

If Muschamp leaves, Texas only has themselves to blame. What in the heck were they thinking when they gave Mack a pay raise and a contract extension the year after they named Muschamp the coach in waiting?

Texas defensive coordinator and head coach-in-waiting Will Muschamp will not accept the head coaching position at Tennessee.

What he gets as a consolation prize is a small raise and an actual time-line confirmation of coach-in-waiting status.

This is from two credible sources. We should hear the official decline by 3:00PM

One a side note they hired Lane Kiffin over Muschamp originally that's why his name is so high on the list.

Wouldnt Leech be on the list somewhere? How many upsets does a guy need to pull to get some love? Just glad we dont have to play against ML anymore... I hate losing at home!

According to some dude Wojciechowski on ESPN.com Tennessee contacts former coach Phil Fulmer after departure of Lane Kiffin.

If I was Phil Fulmer I would basically tell them to F off

Why not go to Tennessee and get some college head coaching experience instead of being a coordinator, then when your former boss and mentor, Mack Brown, leaves Texas, go back to them as head coach.

With Leach's lawsuit hangin in the wind, I don't think there are too many schools who are going to give him a shot.
