Will new NCAA scholarship rules allow teams to pay for supplements?

I'm assuming the previous rules prevented Athletes from receiving supplements from the university. Although probably a lot of them already get them from boosters if family couldn't provide them I suppose.

I assume all supplements were part of the nutrition program based on player needs so the players never had a reason to buy their own.

The total cost of attendance rules that passed will give players cash. They can spend that however they like.

^^ This. Plus I'm fairly certain the staff does NOT want players going out and buying their own supplements. That'd be a recipe for disaster.
