Dennis Poppe, the NCAA's managing director of baseball, said he was not concerned about the possibility of compromising the CWS as a neutral site with Nebraska in the eight-team field. Husker fans flooded Rosenblatt Stadium for the team's appearances in 2001 and '02.
''Those are the facts of life and you live with them,'' Poppe said. ''I don't think anybody's begrudging the fact that they made it to the College World Series.''

If NU can become consistent with appearances will they look for a neutral site??

 
I hope not, and I doubt the NCAA would move it...Omaha has done waaaaay too much over the years for the idiots at the NCAA to move it...I hope. The NCAA is a bunch of fools...

 
I don't think it will become a problem. If they move it, chances are a team close to the new location could be a regular in the tourney as well. So I think they will keep it here. I don't know if the tournament would be embraced as well in another city as it is here in Omaha.

at that rate, they might was well move the Orange Bowl outta Florida if Miami, FSU or Florida gets a bowl berth.

'cause it wouldn't be fair for some out of state team to go there and have to play a Florida home team.

Can't believe I forgot about that. Or take the Rose Bowl out of So Cal because USC seems to get there quite a bit.

 
I wouldn't be surprised if this question isnt brought up amongst the powers that be if Nebraska wins it all this year. As for consistency, IMO (biased) going to the CWS 3 out of 5 years is pretty consistent. This is the beginning of the snowball effect heh.
