Win or Lose What do you want to see Out of Nebraska against Wisconsin

I am hoping for a W and I believe we can win every game this year as long as we clean up lots of things.

So what do you want to see out of Nebraska on Saturday?

Better special teams would be a fantastic start.

More consistency on offense, it seems we make really good plays but then a few plays later cause a boneheaded penalty. We need to put up 21 plus to beat Wiscy this week.

I want us to come out smashing them and playing like we deserve to win. These players know they were robbed a win one year ago, so I presume they will be fired up to play.

Corey Clement needs to be limited, also it will be interesting to see if his comments last year are still in the minds of the players. He didn't play last year so I wonder if the players remember him bashing Nebraska one year ago at B1G media days.

Better line play on both sides would be huge for us, if we can run the ball, I think our wideouts can beat their corners. They struggled some against OSU's wide receiver's and I believe we could exploit them also.

One turnover Maximum in this game and under 75 penalty yards and that will show improvement in a hostile environment where they have destroyed us in the two games we have played in Madison.

 
Win the turnover battle. We have lost far to many games giving them away. Let's take this one away like we have been most of the season.

This is the main thing for me. I have faith we can find a way to win as long as we don't beat ourselves.

Put 4 quarters of the football this team is capable of playing together.

Get out of our own way, this also plays into playing a full 4 quarters and limiting penalties.

Don't back down, when we get punched in the mouth I just want to see this team swing back.

Better line play from both units would be fantastic.

 
To win, and that will be a TALL order, we are going to have to do the things that winning teams do, throughout the game from start to finish. Very tough to do on the road and this team has not played 4 quarters of (as Riley likes to say) "something that looks a lot like football" in several years. Even in our wins vs. MichSt and UCLA, we had serious laps where we just didn't focus and made the usual mistakes. Those can't happen on the road against a legit top ten (ish) opponent.

- less than three (fumbles lost, ints, blocked kicks, safeties, etc)

- excellent kick coverage

- more than three (fumbles recoveredd, ints made, blocked kicks, safeties, etc.)

- fewer than 5 penalties with no more than 45 yards suffered

- no more injuries and the walking wounded are gonna need extra pain killers/injections

- two trick plays that work

- Tommy will need to play his best game of the year this week

- Ozigbo back and running harder than ever

- Healthy Westercamp with about 7 'extra' catches to make up for lost time

- a great game plan and some truly exceptional line play on both sides of ball

Limit penalties

Control the clock and the ball

Limit the outside runs

Limit YAC

Don't let receivers have a free release for 8 yrds when the distance to a first is 5 yards

Don't leave the middle wide open for the TE

Pressure from the DL or add extra bodies

Actually attempt to acknowledge special teams is yet another feet of the game...

 
Hard to come up with anything not already said, or will be said. Just get a win. I know. Thats against the rules but i cant help it. Just keep winning games is all i ask for.

I am with you, I don't care how ugly it may be, just get a win and punch our ticket to Indianapolis.

I want Nebraska to kick their asses and win. But I'll be satisfied if we prepare well this week and play hard Saturday. I'd really like to see our O-line have a great game giving TA time and TN/DO lanes.

 
Preferably win but either way just make the game a competitive one. Just like Wisconsin's games with Michigan and Ohio St. were. If we do that it will do a lot for the confidence of the fan base and the national media that we are close to being "back". If that perception happens then we will win a lot of recruiting battles with this staff which in turn could mean a lot more successful seasons ahead.
