Wisconsin QB

It will be pretty apparent if we still have reports today, wed, and thursday of neither being at practice. Nor if anyone sees them getting on the team plane/bus.

Nebraska needs to be prepared for anything. Also- if UW does have to play a 4th or 5th string guy, I'm not putting an asterisk on anything. Nobody cared that we started Andrew Bunch when we lost to Troy in Frost's first year, nobody cared when we had to play Vedral last year against Indiana. Or Ryker Fyfe or Ron Kellogg III etc etc etc. Go play the game. Their defense is still elite and their OL will provide a stiff challenge for our offense. We better be prepared for an even more physical game than this past week.

With our Secondary's play last week I'm not expecting much more improvement but that being said I would like to see a pass rush generated to put some heat on a backup QB who is starting on the road. Also, are the WR Corps on a milk carton yet???

Road games dont mean much this year with no crowd noise to rattle them.  If Wisconsin has to go with a fourth stringer let's hope it builds confidence for the secondary

 
Dodd reporting Mertz tested positive a second time, and he's out for the next three weeks.

Man that is brutal for the kid. I hope he gets through things quickly and returns as soon as he can. Talk about the ultimate high and low in a few days for him.

Next question is how many total positives and do we have a game still.

Ok so apparently I missed the memo - are there rules in place to decide if the game will happen? Is it a minimum # of players testing positive?

It's a percentage of players and staff. I want to say one of the 1620 The Zone shows said it worked out it 5-7 players for Nebraska's situation.

Yes, Barry Alverez wrote this into the return to play guidelines. It states if the Badgers have to rely on their 4th string QB Nebraska will have to forfeit the game to Wisconsin.
