Wisconsin vs. Fresno St

Not that it's necessarily indicative of anything, and I know it's two years later etc. etc. I just found it interesting. On Sept 12th of 2009 Wisconsin barely squeaked out with a win in Madison, winning in OT 34-31 to Fresno St.

I was thinking about that on Saturday, couldn't remember that it was '09. Regardless Fresno St shows up to play.

this really belongs in the thread i started. where the reputation of fresno st. being road warriors and always bringing it was challenged by someone defending oregon st., who although has fielded quality teams in the past, have a much different reputation than fresno.

Cause it's a Pat Hill coached Fresno State team playing against a team from our conference. It's a point of reference considering how Fresno played us on Saturday and how they played the Badgers 2 years ago.

I'll take a ray of hope when I can get it, clearly the huskers should have played better but it is of Note the Fresno tends to play tough games above their pay grade.

That was two years ago...how is that relevant now?
Maybe you should read the first sentence of the OP. Seems to address this issue pretty clearly.

It's Fresno, I knew it would be a close game. We played pretty bad and we still came out with the win, I will take that. A year ago that would have been a loss for NU

I heard several sports announcers say that Fresno St. is a BSC buster. Wisconsin and other high profile teams have either been upset by FSt or taken to the edge. They came to play but we won. GBR!

Fresno always plays good in big games. They are a well coached team that plays hard and recruits from one of the top States in the nation. Not really a point of reference, but just shows it was not a huge shocker that showed up and punched us in the mouth.
