Wisconsin Week Pressers

I’m actually more disturbed by how badly we get fooled near the goal line. Unless it’s 3rd and 1 and we guess right… anything remotely play action or involving a run fake is obscenely open and successful.
Our DB's are never looking during those moments it seems and they are chasing the offensive guy, they don't see the ball or anything and the QB takes off they continue running down with the WR not realizing the play is no a run by the QB.  They play off by 5-10 yards and are still being beat by the WR and have no idea where the ball is when these occur so the QB can run forever.  I'm assuming you mean his long runs after getting outside the pocket and no one within 15-20 yards of him for a first down and more.

Nebraska is 65th in redzone scoring defense.  127th in redzone offense.  If we are looking for stats that might quantify the 'curse' of being unable to make a winning play at the most crucial moments...it might be these.  If you significantly improve either of those numbers...you're bowl eligible.

Pretty bold statement by a freshman QB whose performance has been trending downward, on a team that hasn't beaten Wiscy in what a decade and hasn't been to a bowl game in almost the same amount of time.    I wonder if this will be posted in the Wisconsin locker room  :dunno

No need to wonder - it is a certainty.  DR better come out with the game of his life.

"We’ll get the win next week and get us to a bowl,” Raiola said about this weekend's game.

Raiola's statement stemmed from his comments on the new offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen and getting used to his offensive scheme and tendencies.

“I spent all bye week with Dana Holgorsen and then obviously the game week. It’s important knowing what he’s gonna call and what he likes here and why he’s calling it so we can execute at the best of our ability. But we’re only gonna keep building on it these next two weeks," Raiola also added.

Nebraska is currently 5-5 and in the midst of a four-game losing streak that has seen the discourse grow around their inability to achieve a sixth win and get to a bowl game.

The Cornhuskers' last bowl game was nearly a decade ago in 2016 when they made it to the Music City Bowl with a record of 9-4.

Since then, Nebraska has failed to hit six wins with two seasons ending in 5-7 records and the rest with four or fewer wins.

Bold move Cotton. Let’s see how it plays out.

Thought I've read here some people wanting him to show some fire.  Does this count?

Saw UW Fickell talk and said that they (Badgers) don't know how to close out games and doesn't know why, but also, clearly said that if they don't get their run game going than it's a big problem for their offense.

In other words, they've got problems late in games, and it would be wise to put a priority on stopping the run throughout the game.

That's the blueprint.

Score early and often.  We are not a 2nd half team.  I wouldn't run some 3-3 praying we get pressure. I'd stack the box.  Gotta stop the run....Staff AND PLAYERS need to light some fire in each other.  Dudes bllow a coverage GET IN HIS FACE.  Set the standard.  Win.  Get to a mother friggin bowl game....

Love the honesty, love the williness to challenge our jackwagon receivers.  I sense a little Mike Leach in him.
A little much needed Bo Pelini
