wooo hooo

This week Fresno comes to town, and I am quite anxious. Granted I understand that we were "testing" out new plays last week, so i hope that we can "execute" plays this week. We got Taylor getting the start again this week... well im not really excited but i guess its worth some hope. Last week Taylor looked... well like a running back but i guess thats all we need. I have heard of all the comparisons to him being like jamal lord, and anyone who thinks that is off their rockers. Jamaal was a freak specimen that yes could not throw the ball but he could run head on into a tackle and shake it off like it was nothing. It appears that we are going back to a more "running" offense, so in my opinion why not give Jamal turner a shot. This man was electrifying. As it appears so far this is a "rebuilding" year so we might as well start preparing for the future. I dont know about the rest of you but i am in favor of giving turner the reigns if martinez continues to look like he did last week. What does everyone else think ?

I think we should stop trying to fabricate a QB controversy. There isn't one. Taylor is the guy.

I think we should keep him at WR, KR, PR, and hybrid RB. I think that is enough workload for a true freshman.

there may not be a controversy now, but if our starting quarterback continues to have no "throwing" abilities other than short screens, why should we not start looking elsewhere? Turner came in as a qb and we moved him to wide reciever/kick returner because of his physical abilities so my only question is why not let him take the quarterback spot based on athletism, since that appears what we are looking for at that position. By doing this we could allow taylor to use his speed elsewhere, thus not putting us at risk when he throws the ball. performances like last week are not going to get us very far in a tough big 10

Yeah, turn the offense over to a high school QB, who has been taking the majority of his practice reps at WR!

Is this imgonnasuhyou's new profile?
:laughpound

Please stop talking. You have no idea what you are talking about.
:yeah - his performance was less than spectacular - but it certainly wasn't anything that would warrant a change. i'm a taylor skeptic - but he played a good game on Saturday and I have no problem saying that. he was far better than the rest of the offense as a whole that's for sure.
