I would rather not get him. With the Adidas baggage stuff, I would rather go in a different direction.

Here are two coaches who we could get right now that would be home run hires for Nebrasketball.

Tom Crean

Mark Gottfried

Tom is currently unemployed and Gottfried would love to come back to the college game.  I believe Mark is currently a Scout for the Dallas Mavericks, so D-1 ball would pay him a ton more.

I've been in on Gottfried for a few years now.

Also, **** no.

Tom Crean is still better than Miles. I think he took Indiana out of the dumps of scandals they were in and turned them around. He also choked and could not get them to a final four, but took Marquette to a final four. He has a better resume and would be an upgrade for us. Something that is not appealing though is his losing conference record. If he can post the numbers he had at Indiana here, I would not be mad.

Yeah, we missed out of Gottfried this year. I bet he is gotta be high on Bills list of 5 coaches and I bet TC is as well. There is probably some up and comer that we do not know about, but I would say Gottfied is a probably on the top of the list. We have the talent to be at least middle of the pack B1G team this year, and if that does not happen we will just stay toward the bottom of the B1G.

Yes I would. If he could get us ranked, even if it was 25th, a win in the dance, maybe a trip to the sweet 16 for the next 5 years I’d be ok with sanctions in year 6.

No, he's been involved in too much controversy and any success here would be considered suspect because of our inferior basketball history. I wouldn't necessarily feel that way if he took over a more traditionally successful program, but it sounds like he's not interested in the NCAA.
