Wow is our Defense bad

but you can pin this loss squarely on the shoulders of Mr. Ganz. Yes the all american boy everyone has been pining over and claiming the second coming. The one everyone says should have started from day one. For the first time, his continuous bad passes, mis-throws and gunslinger attitude(without a gunslinger arm) caught up to him. The defense had played ok we are up 11 with the ball and ganz makes 2 more awful throws back to back and momentum changed and boom game over. He has made several awful throws since he took over it wasnt until now however that it hurt him. his arm is weak, the ball sails, and his accuracy is lacking. Blame Callahan all you want but he didnt throw those passes, what he did do was put ganz and the offense in the right play, Mr. Ganz just made terrible throws.

I dont care who stays as coach or who comes in. Its no different in my opinion, if our success depends on Petersen and Swift at WR and Ganz at QB we are in for a long season again.

Go ahead and rip me all you want, i have said it from the beginning, Ganz is not very good, he is simply a guy that knows the system really well. Well the system will be different but his lack of accuracy, arm strength and overall ability will stil be the same

This loss is squarely on Ganz
This loss is squarely on Nebraska's defense and coaching staff. Why do you attempt 4th and 8 from the 25 instead tying with a field goal, and then not attempt 4th and 1 at the 50 when trailing by two touchdowns with 12 minutes left? Why do you not at least attempt to establish any kind of running game in the second half?
The defense allowed NU a 11 point lead at halftime then came out and stopped CU to 3 and out. The offense then went out and threw a pick for an int touchdown. Then the next possesion what did this offense come out doing instead of running the ball to help the defense out. Nope they decide let's pass some more. ( reminded me of Texas Tech 2004 and texas 2007.) Why the defense should take most of the blame the offense is not innocent.

Why is it that the offense seems to take a quarter off every week and lose their leads if they had one to only come back and score after the other teams has already taken a 16 to 20 point lead?

Why does Callahan call only 3 runs in the second half, and why does he punt with 8 minutes left and behind by 21.

You may want to have someone with a much greater command of the English language than you check your writing before you post in the future.

Guess you didn't read the post about Callahan getting on Ganz's butt after rushing for the second TD....this isn't the first time that Callahan was critical of some positive performance just because it wasn't what he dreamed the night before.

Ganz is only beginning.....and with the right coaching, I can see him doing well. He is mobile in the pocket, where Keller was a sitting duck. This offensive line is not the good, and if you want success, you better hope that whoever the QB is has a brain is can make some decisions on his own without living out BC fantasy offense.

I support Ganz....I just hope that Callahan hasn't scarred the kid with his attitude that he is the only one with the answers....because it is clear that his answers DON'T work.

Anyone that criticizes Ganz after just making two starts.....I challenge you to get out there and do any better. He is doing just fine for where he is. Have your forgotten the number of TD's that he played part of in the limited amount of time he was on the field? He did more than Keller did the whole time he was out there.

Get a life....this defense sucks....how many points has been scored on Nebraska this year? Ganz was not responsible for all of them, was he? How many missed tackles did the ABC commentators speak of during the broadcast? And there was just as many in any other game this year.

Before you go blaming one player on this team, you need to look at the overall picture and numbers....and maybe pull your head out of your rectum and take a breath of fresh air. This is a team venture...and this coaching staff has ruined this defense...which is probably 45% of the reason that we are now sitting with a losing record to end the season. The other 55% is the performance of the TEAM...because of the coaching they didn't get. :asshat

51 points never would of been enough to win a game in the TO era..

oh wait, we would of been undefeated.. :|

there is NO way to pin this on ganz.. he through a few bad passes, the pick-6 being the worst of them.. there were hands on the 2nd int, although it was still a bad pass.. the 3rd int was mo's fault.. although i feel he's a great player, even great players drop balls.. it hit mo in the hands and should of been caught.. it wasn't, and it was intercepted... ganz made quite a few throws that were on the money today..

if you want to put the blame somewhere other than the defense, put it on the play calling.. notice how we went from being very successful mixing it between the pass and run to going sole pass.. it happened in the first half..

as soon as ganz hit a few in a row, we abandoned the running game the rest of the drive, oh wait, we turn the ball over on downs.. that IMO is where the non-defensive blame should be put
