Wow!!!!

For the past couple weeks I havent been able to see OWH videos, what do you have to do? they continuously load for some reason....

Do you really think the problem here is the playcalling?

Art Briles is a very good coach and playcaller, and he just lost to Nebraska.

The talent level and confidence just isn't there yet. They've already stripped the offense down to match the young team's comfort level and everyone here still wants to blame the WCO.

You wanted smashmouth football? We sent our fourth and fifth string running backs right into the line. Sometimes it worked, but they couldn't get the 3rd and 2s when it really counted. Would you have prefered another pass in the flat? Or a quick slant route? The ol' Fumblerooski?

Oh yeah that really pissed off Bo...I could see it in his eyes that he wanted to find them and rip them a new one. I have been pretty hard on Watson myself and I believe that Watson does probably work very hard. I don't have a problem with the man that Watson is just his playcalling and little sissy system. Having said that, yeah it wasn't a classy move to yell that, but we are all thinking it right?

Considering that Watson, just like his mentor, doesn't call plays that are to the strength(s) of his players is why the play calling is a huge issue in Lincoln.

 
I thought I heard this when I was listening on the radio. Looks like Bo gave a quick look and was about to say something, but held off.

I don't know, but it seems like last year there were a lot more completions over the middle with crossing routes with the TE and slants. Seems like those work pretty well. Cody can fire the ball in there pretty well on those slants. Plus he has the height to get it over the line. It just seems like this year we changed a bit. I have faith that Watson can get it done...I mean he has in the past. The screens will work at certain times, but I'd like to see some 10-15 yard plays over the middle. We obviously have those plays in the playbook...we used them last year. Combine those with deep shots, and we'll be good as far as the passing game goes. The line is the problem with the running game. Kinda slow off the ball. We'll need it fixed for next week. I think it'll get done though.
