After Stanford and UCLA did.  We strung him along and he finally decided to go to Stanford and it was too late when we offered.

The recruiting effort on him was terrible at best - however not every kid that is born and raised in Nebraska wants to stay here.  Also the education at Stanford and other place around the country can be a big draw.  Having a staff that has connections to NU and winning games over an extended period of time will increase the % of local kids that NU gets - but 100% is not obtainable.
