Assessing the talent: per BRR: Brady Brown plays receiver at the high school level, but he has the frame to possibly grow into a tight end. Brown says he can bench 230 pounds and squats 320. He also has a 33-inch vertical jump. Brown finished his junior season (10-3) with 95 receptions for 1,080 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Brown reports a 3.7 core GPA and a 23 ACT.

Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 25% Still early, favors us, and Kansas.

Big wr like that gives a lot of mismatch potential. He'd have to bulk-up a lot to play TE, like 50lbs if he is going to block credibly.

i live just down the road from this kid, i will see if i can watch him play a couple games this fall.....he still needs 10-15 lbs. to play at WR, especially at that height. adding 40 lbs. or more would probably be a stretch.

I LIKE THE HEIGHT on this guy. We need to find some WR's around this height class to compete more in this league. If he adds 10-20 more pounds he should be set. Not only is he smart in the classroom but he's favoring us at this point :clap

I like out chances. Kid isn't a burner(few that height are) but he is suprisingly elusive. Makes that first guy miss and gets upfield. He is a good all-around wr with size that creates mismatches. Would be nice to get a burner to complement him.

It was reported on HI that Brown has visited us and KU. He had a hell of a visit and despite KU's major upgrade still likes our facilities better. I think he'll be ours'.

Yep, Brown had his visit on Tuesday. I don't have access to any privileged information, but it looks like Brown is going to be our next commit.

I am expecting Brown to be N. Just thought I could learn to like these colors...Green to Brown! Touchdown Nebraska! :koolaid2:
