WR Brady Young

indianahusker

Special Teams Player
Inside info--

Not on Rivals or Scout (I don't know why).

3rd leading rec. in Indiana this year as a Jr...60 rec. 1350 yds.

1st in YPC. in state.

Hands like glue.

Good Student (I have him in class, as a matter of fact).

Great Kid

Came into my classroom very excited on Friday, as he had gotten a recruiting letter from NU. Of course, I was VERY excited as well (imagine that!). No offer, they are just in the prelim. stages of recruiting him.

I hope NU keeps after him, I would LOVE to see him play there. If not NU, he's going to go to a major school.

His stats may go down next year, as the senior QB (going NAIA) is graduating. Hope that doesn't hurt his chances at NU.

He's 6-1, about 180. He needs to get bigger. Good news, he is working with a personal trainer to get bigger and faster (his dad was a good athlete, and understands what he needs to do to get to the next level).

He's in my doghouse today, he missed the front end of a 1-1 last night to win a game that went to OT and they lost... :madash

Again, my fear is that his stats will go waaaaaay down next year with an inexperienced QB at the helm. If that happens, he won't go D-1 even though he's good enough in my estimation.

is he planning on going to any camps this summer? if he does that will help alot, even if his qb sux next year. coaches can get some good evals in. drop a hint for him to attend the NU football camp this summer

I definately did. Told him I'd drive him there (I could visit my Mom in Grand Island that week)!

He is going to a camp in Ohio where he said Rivals or Scout will evaluate him...

Here's a kicker...his brother (a freshman who took his first reception on Varsity this year on a slant for a 60-yd score) could be even better.

He's already 6-3 and 170.

well lets hope you can get the Indiana pipeline going

Yea sounds like a real player, so does his brother, a freshman and took his first varsity reception for a 60 yard touchdown and he is already 6-3....both sound great if they keep working sounds like they could be dominate next year in the passing game. Do both of them have D-1 caliber, and which is better?

Right now, Brady is better. But Logan (the younger one) shows a ton of potential. He high jumped 6-2 as an 8th grader.

They will both start next year. I am still after them to go to NU!

Both play basketball. Brady (the older) started at guard, didn't have a great season. Logan started JV (the only freshman to make the JV team) and suited up varsity...got some meaningful playing time down the stretch. Both will start varsity football and basketball next year.

The best thing about these kids is that they are terrific. My son (4th grader) loves 'em. They even came to the Muncie B&G Club City Championship last week just to watch my son.

I can't say enough good things about them. I am pushing them both, but Brady told me today he is also getting interest from Florida and Notre Dame. I told him not to waste his time with those crappy schools!

i don't know if you read the Omaha World Herald today but there was article about the pheonix five by Mitch Sherman, it mentioned that a teacher of two of them pushed them to make their final descion to go to NU, it made me think of how you were trying to persuade brady to go to NU

Well they sound great. What is the freshmans best sport? Is he focused on football? Whatever his best sport is get him to go to NU! We could use him in whatever, but lets hope its football. Lets get the brother connection going!
