Assessing the talent: Great athlete, a lot of fun to watch. As a WR, he’s a bit stronger than most of the DB’s and it shows. He is being recruited to play both sides of the ball in college. He scored 9 touchdowns (40 catches and 600 yards). On defense, he had 10 picks.

Odds of becoming a Cornhusker: 5% Huskers are in his second tier of choices. Possibility of a visit.

This guy lives pretty close to me, and I used to work with a couple people that played on his football team last year. From what I hear, he's the real deal. Last year the guys that I worked with were telling me what a stud this guy is. I think he's probably a better safety than WR, but that's just what i've heard.

Nebraska has stopped recruiting him.

Nebraska has pulled his offer. Chances of committing are 0%

He's heading to Texas Tech, now that Tech is his only serious offer. Wisconsin which had offered, no longer is recruiting him either after landing 4 WR's in their recruiting class.

No suprise he committed to Tech. Tech was his serious offer. For some reason, NU backed off his recruitment

Maybe we are trying to stay away from the smaller CB's now? Could be my guess.

You hit it on the head. The coaches are focused on certain guys at the moment with certain height and weights who can develop in a matter of a few months instead of a full year in the system. Chris Brooks was a wake up call to the coaches after coming in not lifting ANY weights at all in high school.
