If we could recruit top 15-20 every year and develop them into a top 10 class when they get here, we will be able to compete with OSU and Michigan. Not beat them every time, but have a chance to win. And also win championships. The problem is, we havent seen too much development from this staff yet. We shall see now that they are getting their guys in.

Ill bite.

QB- No development to Tommy, Id say marked improvement for Ryker and development as far as actually having a real "quarterback" room with our new croots and transfers.

RB- Zig and Bryant have been pretty damn solid in limited time. When healthy, zig has shown a bunch, especially when you consider he was a lowly ISU commit until January.

TE- agree with no development, although Carter had flashes, couldn't stay healthy.

OL- hard to talk about "development". Had lots of upper classmen before this year. I'd love to rehash the development topic on the OL after this season.

DL- Davis has developed, Maurice grew a bunch under this staff. DE's not at all. Agree on that part.

LB's- Probably the most development of all positions. Very deep LB corps now. Not fair on MRI, because he was finally healthy. They developed Newby into a suitable role. Bands had his best season, Still trying to figure out Young. Lots of depth.

DB's- Kalu and Jones flourished under Stew. Hell, the Williams and Gerry also turned a huge corner. Reed has shown a ton of potential.

K/P- very solid development, look at the progress our new punter made. Brown has developed to be one of best K in B1G.

KR/PR- no development.

You think any of those guys could break the starting lineup at OSU and Michigan? Maybe MRI could break two deep and Nate Gerry. Those guys were already good players before this staff took over. We need to develop them into top 10 talent. Not just serviceable. Serviceable gets you beat 62-3.

Lol... my reply was simply about development. It's a crock to say there hasn't been much by this staff. I wasn't commenting to say we would have a bunch of our guys start or play at tOSU.... although. Our WR would play for them, CC would. Gates would. Not many defenders however. Which is perhaps why Banker got fired...
