Chris Jones tweeting right now about how sh**ty our fans are at judging kids for where they go.

Our own players think we have sh**ty attitudes. That bodes well for further recruitment.
Always hate to see this. People need to leave Twitter alone. Sad thing is it is a few rotten fans that ruin our reputation every year when kids don't pick us.
Like I said before in another thread. Bo did not invent "us vs them" the fans (not all of them but the morons) have made it that way.
QFT
Maybe another 5 to 6 years of mediocrity will solve this problem. Fans may just stop caring as much about husker football.
Feel free to do so anytime.

So we are actively burning bridges via twitter so we have zero chance of flippinh him before signing day.
Is Chris Jones going to get onto Coach Williams like he did our fans for being upset? I think it is okay to be upset when the kid has "silently" committed to you
Obviously theres a line, but I agree. I don't care if its "how the recruiting game is played", Last minute re-negging on your silent commitments is a crappy thing to do.

Again, not excusing the poor twitter behavior, but I don't recall hearing about "bad" Husker fans except for the ones that have re-negged on "commitment".

Am I the only one who doesn't take KDub's tweet as a diss? Sure, it's obvious who it's about, but KDub regularly subtweets, as does most of our staff.

To me, it almost reads as a trying to calm the waters tweet.

"Hey, y'all know Calvin was N, but y'know sometimes kids change their minds based on what they think is best for them. There's really nothing you can do about that."

Whether Calvin sees it that way is another matter.

Either way it reads like he's giving up on him. If it was a different school, fine. But you can't tell me we have no shot at flipping him back to signing with us next month.

Our fans are ridiculous. Just shut up wish the kid well and let him have his moment. My God you'd think someone making their college choice wouldn't be able to get grown men into a tizzy like this. It's ridiculous
Right? I mean, why even watch the games? Might as well fold the program at that rate.

I don't think he was subtweeting. I mean, other than alluding to Calvin, I took it as a live and learn thought out loud.

Maybe they don't want to deal with him anymore...if indeed he was silently committed than we just move on. It is crazy how fing stupid our society acts now with social media. Not that we didn't before, but it is more in your face. Kids flip back and forth. No different than if we were to have several job offers and you weigh the options. Sometimes some factors begin to outweigh others.

Nah, it was a three parter, and the last one was "and signing day isn't until 2/1"

Were we the 2nd choice? Didn't an analyst tweet something about Calvin still planning on visiting oregon in January. It sounds like the pac 12 won by location.

Yep, that's what I meant. Not necessarily subtweeting in a negative way, just in a "this is who I'm thinking about but I can't say his name, but y'all know anyway" sort of thing.

This tweet was 30 seconds after the one you're talking about.

Don't always take what you read on the internet as the full story.
