Fist name mentioned by a non-Nebraska 247 guy after he competed in a big 7-on-7 tournament in Georgia this weekend:
It was hard to miss Coleman in the afternoon session. The Top247 athlete got snaps at wide receiver and linebacker NE Elite, and made plays on both sides of the ball as he caught multiple touchdowns passes and also picked off a pass in coverage. Coleman might be a bit of a mystery as it’s unclear what position he should play at the next level, but that’s a problem that most college coaches are likely going to want to solve as he’s extremely athletic for a longer athlete (he appears to be pushing 6-foot-4, 180 pounds) and full of potential given his explosive movement patterns. This writer believes that Coleman’s ceiling might ultimately be highest as a 3-4 linebacker that’s asked to rush more times than not, but one could certainly make the case that Coleman could get it done as a large wide receiver or even a flex tight end at some point down the line. Coleman, who ran at the Junior Olympics this past summer, is planning to visit Georgia next weekend before getting to Texas in early April. Nebraska is the early Crystal Ball leader for the local product that attends Lincoln East.
