WR William Cole

FYI - Cole is a :star :star :star :star on both Rivals and Scout. According to Rivals, we are up there w/Arizona, Arkansas, Mizzou, Kansas, and Okie State.

I wouldn't mind having a kid like this - kind of a Santana Moss type!

Actually one of the reasons we are not high on his list is he has said he wants to be a corner in college. When we were recruiting him we told him we want him for wr and he said no thanks. I think we are trying to recruit him as an athlete (Leon Jax situation) but am not sure if he has been promised defense which is why he probably won't be N.

If we tell him corner for sure and he doesn't wait long we have a good shot at him but the longer he waits the lower our chances are.

Of course we have Anthony Blue in his ear about how great we are so you can't count him out yet.

Yes that would be great if Blue can reel him here...but seeing the posts on how he wants to play defense, I wonder if Blue is concerned he'd lose his spot to him! :lol: Would be great to get him here as a CB...heck, let him compete at WR and CB. We are the most prominent program recruiting him. Lesser Big 12 schools as well as Arkie and 'Zona are looking at him. How many spots do we have left now? We need LB Patin, TE Amie or Fleener, and...Cole? I like it!

 
Per Scout, he will be visiting Lincoln next week. We may very well have the last say in his recruitment process. Let's hope we can get this guy - he would be a perfect slot reciever and return specialist. Plus he can throw the ball - he'd be great for gimmick plays - much like Florida uses Percy Harvin.

This kid and either Peters or Patin would be a great way to end the recruiting season!

 
William Cole and maybe Jason Peters...tell me I am dreaming...what a wrap-up to out recruiting season...I thought we had completely forgot about Cole...great athlete...played quarterback for his high school team...think he may be special...Peters, Cole and Patin...what a wrapup to the 07 classs..

This one and Peters will be the two biggest "lures" for the coaches to date. I have personally seen Cole play and the guy is an outright friggen stud! He was a man amongst boys in HS. That 40 time is very deceiving. He is very elusive and shifty, and can juke DB's out of their jocks!

Marlon Lucky - we snatched him from Pete Carroll and Carroll always gets who he is after

Harrison Beck - kept him from visor boy Spurrier

Suh - Picked him out of UW, OSU, OU, and WSU country

Dillard - From OK but got him here

Turner - Snatched out of Tenn

Lee - Awesome looking qb and chose over OK and OK has no QB's he'd have to compete to get top spot.

Barrett - Tough haul out of FL

Brooks - Stole from MO

I'm not saying Peters wouldn't be a huge get but to say this is the greatest get of the Cally era is a stretch to say the least at this point.
