Wrigley Field Looks a Little Sketchy

now I hate to say this but... if they are not going to use that endzone they may as well, take down that goal post, as the only purpose is now to block the view of what I expect were pretty expnesive seats since they are so close to the would be action.

I'm guessing it has to be there even it's only decorative. The rules are likely already being bent having the teams play the same way on offense.

Even with the field issues I don't understand the backlash against this. It's called promotion, Northwestern and Illinois rarely get network games as is let alone something like Gameday. Put yourself it their shoes and it's not a terrible idea to stir up some buzz.

not a terrible idea? they are literally re-writing the rule book to hold a game at this place. how is that not terrible krill?

gameday might be there, but the game itself is regulated to crap broadcast, its not a game of any importance... whoopty freakin doo. theyre only getting eyeballs because of a screwup.

oh...and it holds all of 40,000. wonder how people that bought tickets in the other endzone will feel having the game played away from them the entire time, since they didnt announce this change until a day before the game. how convenient.

this is nothing more that an idiotic love fest. they made the football game not about the football game. thats bs to me.

At every possession change they are going to do the exact same thing they do at the end of the first and third quarter. It's not that big of a deal in the context of a game. It's not terrible and it's not going to lead to a formal whiny protest.
