You guys are too nice to Holt, the kid simply has hands of stone and he's lazy. Take the VT first TD pass attempt, he ran to the ball and really didn't even try, the announcer even said "you have to make a dive for that young man". Next one he tries and can't hold onto the ball. In his defense the first Houston TD last night was 10x less of a catch and was considered a touchdown.

Gilleyan has actually learned to catch the ball, which is awesome. Last year he had the hands of stone, this year he's pulling them in.

Paul seems to be in the right place at the right time, just needs to make plays like he does during kick returns.

Just my opinion, yours may vary.

Both deserve the majority of the touches going forward.

When Brooks actually gets PT, he makes play. Curenski provides a legitimate deep threat and can constantly make plays in that fashion. When Lee gets more confidence to rely on his arm to throw that deep ball, watch Curenski explode even more.

Niles, for all his physical attributes, guy just doesn't make that many plays. He shouldn't even be returning punts or kicks, IMO. I know alot of people will disagree, but besides the occasional good return he does have, he does nothing for field position. Quality returners will give you that extra field position on most plays. Niles just isn't that shifty and does not have that quick burst most quality returners do.

And Meno. I'll reserve my comments a bit. But dude just does nothing. Kinnie or Cooper should be playing more than him even if they have to learn on the fly. At least they will might actually make a play once in a while.

He has all of the tools but I think he lacks toughness. He should have had that TD last night however he rapidly developed a case of alligator arms when those two defenders were approaching him. That is lack of toughness is tough for some to overcome.

About him not returning punts or kick offs, I disagree. Right now that's what he does best.

He does the best, because he is all we use. Why not at least try Mendoza, who does have that quick burst when he sees an opening.

I look for this kid to be transferring next year, and I wouldn't blame him. :steam

Niles has not been productive, but i think is by far our best blocking reciever. i never payed too much attention until last night, but if one of the other guys catches a ball or breaks into the secondary, he works to get the blocks. solid team player.
