Behind Mussina, Yankees finish off Cubs 6-3

NEW YORK (AP) -- Mike Mussina's bright yellow T-shirt hardly seemed appropriate. Written across the chest was "Chico's Bail Bonds," sponsor of the most famous fictional Little League team in Hollywood history.

Funny, because these days the New York Yankees don't resemble the Bad News Bears at all. Not anymore, at least.

Mussina won his third straight start, Alex Rodriguez got a big hit with the bases loaded and the suddenly surging Yankees polished off a three-game sweep of the Chicago Cubs with a 6-3 victory Sunday.

 
Yankees sweep Cubs, win sixth straight game

NEW YORK -- After last week's brutal road trip, the struggling Yankees were looking forward to enjoying the comforts of home.

Well, home has certainly agreed with the Bombers, who won their sixth consecutive game on Sunday, completing a three-game sweep of the Cubs at Yankee Stadium with a 6-3 victory

 
Hmmm...while I would normally put this in the Humor section, this seems to be an appropriate thread.

Sitting behind a couple of nuns at a baseball game (whose habits partially blocked the view), three men – all Yankee's fans - decided to badger the nuns in an effort to get them to move.

In a very loud voice, the first guy said, "I think I’m going to move to Utah, there are only 100 nuns living there."

The second guy spoke up and said, "I want to go to Montana, there are only 50 nuns living there."

The third guy said, "I want to go to Idaho, there are only 25 nuns living there."

One of the nuns turned around, looked at the men, and in a very sweet, calm, voice said, "Why don't you go to hell ... there aren't any nuns there, but there’s plenty of Yankee fans...
