Man, they are ripping Callahan and Steve Pederson up!

"Never did Frank bring embarrasment to the Nebraska program as Callahan recently did with his throat-slashing incident."

"Frank did well at Nebraska, 9 win seasons except for the one 7-7 season. I guess that wasn't good enough so they let him go."

"Huskers for Ohio.com"

"Nebraskans that have abandoned the Husker program and followed Frank to Ohio."

"We talked about the throat-slashing incident, but there was also an incident last year with Oklahoma refering to them as hillbillies."

"Nebraska had 54 consecutive weeks in the top 10 under Solich."

All of this was just aired over ESPN2 during the Ohio-Toledo game.

OHIO V. NU   get real    at least OSU
I don't know about that. Ohio could be tough for NU this year. <_<
Yeah, they would, for our scout team walkon's maybe :clap
Funny, seems like the Ohio v Pitt game was pretty close, just like NU v Pitt was..... <_<

Cheap shots :WTH Everything they said was true :thumbs

FACT Every college team has bandwagon fans. NU still has a consecutive record of sellout streaks at memorial stadium. Those bandwagon fans haven't left a dent in the fan base

Never did Frank bring embarrasment to the Nebraska program as Callahan recently did with his throat-slashing incident."
FACT: Solich hired an assistant coach who embarresed the University and REFUSED to applogize for his outburst at Snyder

Nebraska had 54 consecutive weeks in the top 10 under Solich
FACT: That is a stat based on 6 years of coaching for Solich. Come talk to me about that fact once Callahan finishes 6 years

<_<

There's a big difference in Head Coach and assisstant coach.

Just money. All NU employees no matter who they are must follow the same guidelines. It is just that the guidelines have changed over the years. BD could get rinsed at the Am. Leg. post without much consequence. No internet, or portable tv cams. Today, everyone from E to W coast know the color of your BVD's almost instantaneously. Bad news especially travels at lightspeed. I am very ambivalent towards the media and the very biased reports they spew. Now if they can produce pictures of BC golfing with Satan and Charlie Manson then by all means lets hang him in effigy.

Ahh i see. So it's a double standard. Players and assistant coaches are more immune to embarrassments then a head coach is. I guess assistant coaches and players do not play a big role in the reputation of a University like a head coach does. I will keep that in mind next time we have another Lawrence Phillips incident and the media manages to still bring it up 10 years later.

You Solich lovers have a double standard and excuse for everything. :rollin

Update

The perennial powerhouse Toledo beat Ohio 30-21.

Maybe the commentators will crow for FS head now instead of worrying about what is going on in Huskerland. They are a fickle group.

If we played at Ohio, I would be very nervous, after all we both appeared to be equal teams against Pitt ( infact Ohio was a little more impressive). As the players have said in the interviews that they just aren't getting it done on the road. This loss today hurts, at least we beat Baylor so we won't be at the bottom of the big 12 when everything is all said and done. One game left that we can win. Hopefully everyone shows up. BC sure isn't smiling much anymore with the losses. I think he is very concerned...... It's about time to be concerned. I guess on the bright side of things...., if this trend continues BC won't be quiting for an NFL job anytime soon. Oh yeah, if Solich was here the media would be bashing on NU for keeping around a mediocre coach, so I do not give them much credit.

That is the media's whole point draw people in to listen to their point of view to sell advertising time. It's the big game to them, not like fans that truly love their team. Same as the coverage on politics. Whatever gets the specific media the most viewer shares. IMO it dont mean nuthin. If the NU powers decide to get rid of a coach so be it. Any administration that bows to the media pressure needs to be checked for osteoporosis of the spine. Again, just IMHO.
