You heard it here first...Mark May picks NU

Foppa

All-American
Just now on ESPN, due to the OU incident, Mark May said that NU is a favorite for the Big 12 North, and maybe the Big 12 title.

Unreal.

Anyone else see this?

I saw that...he also talked about how Texas, being defending big 12 and national champions may also be in line to repeat as the conference winner.

Mark May can suck it. I do agree that this opens up our chances as conference champs much more.

Is Mark May turning the corner after the Michigan game last year?? I don't think so, but he is probably the first national media member to pick us to maybe win the whole Big XII. It will be interesting to see if others jump on the Husker bandwaggon.

Anytime you get something positive from Mark May about the Huskers you run with it.

I will give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. We shall see how bad he says we suck down the road.

This program has done a 180 refersal and maybe he is beginning to see it.

Hopefully we won't lose to them in the regualr season or Big XII title game. Then we would be celebrating like 70, 71, 94, 95, and 97 all over again!!

lets hope that the team is looking 1 game at a time. I know it will be hard to do, but if this team can stay focused, they have a great chance of being undefeated at the Big 12.

I really don't care what he says. If we take care of business then the pieces will fall into place. All we need to worry about is winning each an every football game.

I dont know about all of you but I do not believe in the ESPN Mark May jinx, Now if SI has us on the cover of the College Football Preview, then watch out

:yeah I don't think we have anything to worry about with jinxes however. It's not like we are the media darling of the nation. Notre Dame should be on a cover, so...

Mark my words. We only play Texas once. We will play Texas Tech in the CCG. All three in the south are breaking in new QB's but Tech's was expected to start two years and for sure last year, other than a freak accident he would have full year of experience. He is farther along than any Leach has had.

Interesting pick. It would give us a lot of motivation after tha past two losses to the team. I still like OU to go to the game. They still ave AD, an amazingly fast D, and they do have Tech at home. But they do have A&M, and Mizzou on the road. I know, it's Mizzou, but they have a godd young QB, and that could flusture OU's guy. Still though I like them to face the Big Red in the title game.
