Your 2020 Nebraska Cornhuskers

Sounds like Honas, Miller, Reimer and Heinrich are pretty set as the rotation at ILB.  Mauga will benefit from having an extra year.

I think I can now let myself actually talk football now that the announcement has been made.

Does anybody have a line on Ronald Thompkins? Have coaches talked about him getting playing time this season? Been thinking about that kid and his knee injuries and where he might be at.

His high school highlight reel is so good.

Have no idea where he is in the mix but I'm sure we'll know here soon.  He reminds me a little bit of Maurice Washington build wise.  Interested to see what he can do with the ball on the outside vs between the tackles.  Looks fast.

Can wait to finally watch him ball out.

Perhaps because Mauga is an OLB anyway

Ummm.... no.

I loved Ronald Thompkins tape.  I was watching a video of him running drills in practice last year and saw some Lawrence Phillips movements.  Lawrence had this amazing ability to do a combination of a juke and shuffle, then take off.  I saw Ronald was making similar movements.  I would say his base is more balanced and stronger than Washington's.  I am still bummed Washington couldn't get his act together, such a talent.

Yeah I wasn't going to say anything about the comment on his build but Thompkins isn't built like Washington. He has strong legs and an overall perfect build for an every-down, all purpose back.

The question about him isn't about his potential, his talent, or any of that IMO - it's about his knees. If his knees have healed up he could be a great one here.

I've heart rumblings that Mo is still around the town and the team. Sounds like he has maybe expressed the thought that he was needing to do some work in the maturity department and is wanting to try to prove he can be what he needs to be both as a man, a student, and a teammate. Again, could be inaccurate, but if true, even though it sounds like the road to good graces is long and winding, we may still get to see what he can be yet.

If it was still just smoking weed then sure. But putting women on campus at risk for him to do the same thing is not worth what he brings to the table. Mo needs to transfer down and get professional help dealing with his childhood background and how to move forward.

I really hope he can turn things around and find success. Whether he ever plays football again who knows, but I hope the kid finds some guidance and support and can stay on the straight and narrow.

Just to clarify, you are worried that one of his ex-girlfriends is going to send him a video of her with two other dudes, then he is going to keep it on his phone again?  Interesting...

If he is with friends and getting help in Nebraska, why cant he stay and get help?  He's probably not ever going to be on the team again, but if we can help him, then we should do it.

He can get help about anywhere. No reason it should be at UNL. He can stay in Lincoln off the team all he wants. Sorry but between all the stupid stuff that he did he can pack it up. Posting revenge porn of when this gal was a minor (if I remember that correctly) tells me all I need to know about how he views women.

It's been a hell of a rise for Reimer - I think some people had him tagged as an impact walk-on, but cracking the 2 deep in year 2 as a walk-on is impressive.

My two cents on Washington - we have multiple old topics people can dig up if we're going to go over all that again.
