I think that  injury kinda destroyed his progress. He had only been through spring ball at this point last year. Didn’t he just go through spring ball this year?

22.01 at 200+ pounds is moving pretty well.

I hear that his discus attempts did not go very well, though.

Won the long jump with 22'.

Had a disastrous day in discus and pole vault and didn't qualify for state in either.

In the discus, faulted twice and then only went 120' to finish 10th (had gone 180'+ this year).  

For pole vault, he broke his pole.

Friend of mine did that, said it was the most painful thing he's experienced.

 
That is athletically amazing   :o   !!!

To put into context, he basically jumped from beyond the NBA 3-point line to the baseline.  And he's 5'10
