Your 2024 Nebraska Cornhuskers

also know through both actions and some snippets from interviews that the QBs have some ability to check into/out of certain things based on presnap looks. I'm very curious how that progresses through the course of the season.
Oh how I dream of the day when we get away from the team lining up, acting like they are going to snap….only to have them all stop and stare at the sidelines.

Has always drove me nuts.

I know what you mean. It's like the guy that passes you on the road so he can sit at the stoplight longer than you. You avoided all that huddling and now you watch 3 guys on the sideline play patty cake and hope you remember which one is real.

This entire pace fad is just silly. It was cute for a while, then the rules changed and sucked most of the advantage out of it, and defenses have adjusted at this point. These coaches that want to go go go, you just want to remind them that it's alternate possession, not alternate play. Possessions are what matter and there are some instances where how many you get is important. Nebraska last year had a worse offense than just about anybody, so you obviously wanted to play a lower possession game and not highlight that efficiency difference any more than necessary. So many of these coaches, though, are just playing fast to play fast. Situationally, useful, but if that's your gimmick, maybe you need to re-examine why you're doing it.

As silly as it is to watch everyone stare at the sideline, there isn't a great way to get plays in. Imagine the press conferences when teams lose because the headsets stopped working. Happens even in the NFL, and that's a smaller league with a lot more parity of facilities than college football.

Has he 'understood the standards that are here', as Rhule said he still needed to do this spring?

He is a DE. Think he listed himself as also playing TE. Makes sense if he has never played it before.

Blitzkrieg to the backfield
I think Sipple or SC called him an OT in one of their videos.  So probably why those offensive blocking reps I took he was trying to play OT.  Either way I wasn't impressed with his blocking.  either way he looks fairly athletic and is in good shape.  he looks like a young Flula Borg
