Your 2025 Nebraska Cornhuskers

I heard that Mozee got moved to running back but I don't know if there is any truth to that. Also would it be bc of adding depth or better position to let him see the field faster?

I don’t know if they made a change.

Why do you think they made the change that I’m not sure if they made?
Saw that he was taking some reps at RB. But he’s a kind of player that they may want to be versatile. Start him in a 3 wide set and then motion him to RB. Or vice versa. Dana is figuring out all his chess pieces to keep defenses on their toes. Doubt he’s moving to RB full time.

Wouldn't say he's overly little at 6'0 and 185. He redshirted in 2023 and had a season ending injury in '24. I think he could be good option for us and had a pretty good offer list out of HS.
If I remember correctly, he got hurt in last years spring game. Coaches were excited about him for 24'. Hopefully the excitement comes to fruition.

They updated the online roster, and I love reading way too much into it even though the numbers are frequently just made up. Some things I noticed:
  • Isaiah Mozee is indeed at RB, but more interestingly to me listed at 210 lbs. Jamarion Parker listed at 200, up from 170 or 175.
    • If either of them are actually close to that I'd expect to see them quite a lot this year. The coaches can talk up Ives all they want, I cannot find a recent example of a RB becoming a major contributor after not contributing at all their first two years. Plenty of underrated recruits being certified dudes, but they were all forcing their way into carries in years 1 and 2.
  • Rahmir Stewart listed at 220 lbs, but still at DB which may be an oversight. I think he's in the LB room now, but it's interesting to me after Rhule said something along the lines of "when he's at 205 lbs, he's a good player" - I guess we've given up on that.
  • DL pretty much bigger across the board. Jaylen George at 285 tells me he is a true DL, not an edge guy. Probably just depth either way. Did not think Lenhardt had any more room to grow, so if he's actually up to 270 that's cool. Not a pass rusher anyway so some extra bulk is fine.
  • Might be the biggest OL we've ever had? Pritchett (325) - Spindler (320) - Evans (315) - Lutovsky (320) - Gottula (305). Even bigger if Corcoran (310), Prochazska (320), or Knaak (325) are in at RT.
  • Freshman LBs up a lot from their listed signing day weights - Jones (235), Merritt (225), Mooberry (220)
  • Plenty of competition and weight is not a huge deal for CBs, but Brice Turner has the track credentials and is up to 205 after coming in at 175.
