Zac Taylor - Cincinnati Bengals Head Coach

I think much of what happens at the professional level of sports is unfair, but Taylor is a shiny new offensive toy that spent two years under the current shiniest toy in the NFL. There are a lot of franchises (particularly the Bengals) sort of floating in this nebula of mediocrity that are willing to take a risk like this in order to put fans in the seats and try to capture some of the McVay magic.
I think you make a valid point.

There's definitely validity regarding his lack of experience .  The staff he puts together will be even more important for someone like him imo but not the easiest situation for a brand new head coach to be put in by being head coach and working for the Bengals organization also.

LOL, do you think you can build a championship team around a single receiver and a running back who only fell to them in the draft because he is a woman beater? Everything brophog said about the Bengals franchise was spot on.
Also. Aj green, boyd, mixon with Dalton throwing isn't a bad core, granted aj green is 30 but he still has 3 to 5 good years left in him.

As a Bengals fan, I wish him nothing but the best. I do however think this franchise needs new ownership more than anything else.

BTW, it is ok to draft Ohio State players. It has worked out well for other teams in the NFL.

NFL Head Coach is a pretty small fraternity. If Zac Taylor gets fired in two seasons, it won't hurt his resume for the many other jobs that are as good or better than the QB coach he was before this.

So if other NFL teams were circling around him, and the Bengals were willing to give him the top job, how would you have felt if Nebraska had aggressively pursued Zac Taylor for the post-Riley coaching vacancy?

i hope shazier can get back onto the field again. he looked like he was going to be damn good the few times i saw him play with Pittsburgh.

The Bengals have been pathetic for a long time.  Giving more time to a coach isn't going to hurt the franchise.
