Zac Taylor will be an instructor

Not only will this experience be AWESOME for Zack, What do you think this will do for recruiting? Future recruits will fall in love with NU knowing that this staff goes the extra mile for players. BC has won me over. GO HUSKERS

Ahh, I like your thinking jh, always have your mind on recruiting. ;)

That has to weigh heavily in the minds of future QB prospects. Who wouldn't want to learn from the best passing QB in the game right now? Great for Zac, for NU, for BC and staff, and for us, the fans. :cheers

Not so great for Harrison Beck... he will turn out to be a good qb anyway. Zac Taylor is just keeping his seat warm. Beck will lead us to a BCS game in a few years.

I've read a lot about ZT being a "true passing qb" as opposed to JD, and i've heard he can throw a nice deep ball, but does anyone know anything about his ability as a passer? relative strengths and weaknesses? just curious

He's of average build. Not very big but not small.

He can throw the deep ball quite accurately, but not 60 yards downfield. He'll anticipate the deep ball and get it out of his hands.

One of the things I like is his ability to be patient. He'll nickel and dime you for three to five yard pass plays then pop the big one.

He hasn't forced too many balls, like Joe sometimes wanted to.(Joe's ultimate demise, he wanted so badly to make the big play and he did sometimes.)

He's a cool customer. He can be quite relaxed in a tight situation.

From what I have seen at practices, he a competitor and truley a team player.
