All it took was one trip to Lincoln two weekends ago. Bowman, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound cornerback, took part in one of the most electric game days in college athletics, a Husker home game.
"It's something else, man," Bowman said last week by cell phone from Roswell.

"I love Lincoln," he said. "I love the program, I love the players, and I love what the coaches are trying to do."

Bowman said he hopes to have a signing ceremony at Bartlett because he wants his family and friends there. He expects that will happen in December, although he said he's ready to sign "whenever they send the papers."

I love Lincoln," he said. "I love the program, I love the players, and I love what the coaches are trying to do."
Bowman will play at Nebraska next season as a junior. He's midway through his second season at NMMI, where he caught the attention of Nebraska linebackers coach Bill Busch and first-year Nebraska head coach Bill Callahan.

"There aren't any 6-foot-2 cornerbacks in the country as athletic as he is," Callahan told the Daily Nebraskan. Callahan went on to call Bowman the top junior college prospect in the nation.

Bartlett coach John Jessen, who coached Bowman for three seasons, was elated when he heard the news from Bowman via e-mail.

"From the standpoint of his ability I'm not surprised," Jessen said. "I'm happy he's done everything he's had to do in junior college to get himself in that position."
Hope this guy isn't another defrand. I heard alot of the same things about him.
