You get what you pay for. We went cheap with hope. We have to be willing to stand behind him for awhile yet. I only wish he had the ability to hire for the good of the progrtam, rather than fitting into his idea of what should work, IE yes man. Until he allows his assitants the right to do their job, freeing him up to do his job, well at least learn how to do his job this is going to continue. The greatest error he made was not going after Stoops, if he had, his life would have been easier.
Again that might have been Tom again staying the cheap ship, and not allowing us to pay the going rate of a top OC or DC.
I am not sure where I stand on that.
I agree things need to change, but firing Bo is not the answer at this time. But if we continue to see teams not prepared, coaches not making timely and good changes during the game, kids not knowing what they are supposed to do. We have to consider what our options are and what we are willing to take. There are many out there that do not like Bo, for many reasons. There voices are being heard at the University, trust me, I know, I got a letter two weeks ago.
But I am tired of the kids being blamed for these games. There is only one responsible for where we are at and that is the Head Coach. Lay the blame where it belongs. Bo is overpaid, under performing, somewhat an eyesore for this program. He does great things here and I think basically a good guy. But he is not qualified to be a head coach at Nebraska. He has to get better, in his recruting, his hiring and his media image. Allthough he handled a tough game very well with the media. That is a plus in my books. I expected a much angrier Bo than what we saw last night. I saw frustration, hurt, disbelief and disappointment. All deserved, but handled better than in the past.
