We are going to lose

You know what... i know we are the freaking huskers so it is hard to believe, but it's college football and there are off games. We had a freaking off game, seriously, if you think they would win a best out of 10 series that is ludacris. We are a better team, and thats not me sippin on the red kool-aid, we are better. We were flat as pancakes tonight, even after a huge first couple of drives, I was calling for a game like this after a big win, and it is good because this serves as a wake up call, we will be ready for next week thanks to this close call. That is all. GBR!
:yeah

The only problem with the offense is that unless Taylor was heaving the ball down field we couldn't do anything. The running game was bad agian with it's 3.6 yd/rush effort. KU caught up because we only had 75 yds passing in the quarters 2 & 3. Still, the real problem is Cosgrove and his defense. They don't attack they react. They show blitz 20 times a game and they drop back into coverage which is crappy anyway. Why can't we play zone defense from time to time? Show the QB something different. Upcoming opponents watching this game have to be salivating.

This is my last post on the subject, but to those who are ripping on me for calling a loss, I would just raise the rhetorical question:

How come nobody immediately responded and refuted my "prediction"?

Why did everyone wait until the game was over?

Hmmmm......

GBR!!
Because I don't think anybody bothered to take such idiotic posts serious...

Howcome every year you predict that we're going to lose/get embarassed or something along those lines? Seriously.

??? Every year?

If you'd like to back that statement up with actual evidence, please feel free...

I agree completely. We are the much better team and had an off night. I am not taking anything away from Kansas, but if we played again I think we would win in a more convinsing fashion. Good luck to KU though for the rest of the season.

KU is better than we are.

Anyone disagree?
I do.

NU wanted so badly to give the game away it wasn't even funny. You give any team 3-4 turnovers, you are probably going to lose.

Every drive when I thought we'd throw the dagger in, fumble, dropped pass, oh another fumble..

A win is a win. 1-0 in the conference is how it goes and really, that's the most important thing to take away from this game as a fan. Saying it is a loss is probably the dumbest thing anyone can say. It isn't a loss. We came out one win better for it all. Saying it is loss is saying you might as well hang up your hat for the rest of the season. Lame. I mean afterall, as long as you can predict the rest of the season why not just stay in Lincoln for there rest of the fall? It's probably not even worth it, right?

Oh well, if we win at ISU, you'll be high on the team again. No doubt about it. Week in and week out.

Never mind KU's four TOs and their dropped TD catches and their botched extra point.

I'll be thrilled with a win in Ames. Give me some credit. But it won't change my opinion that KU is the better team.

Last night was no fluke.

It's great you think they are better. But the fact of the matter is, we are 1-0, they are 0-1. Can't change that no matter how much "better" they are. Apparently we were a bit better when it counted, otherwise, I couldn't say that.

The better team doesn't always win. It happens. I'm very relieved that we are 1-0. But that doesn't make me any more confident in this team than I was a week ago.

There is no doubt that the defense got TORE UP and the offense couldn't get out of it's own way at times. We play like this the rest of the season, yea, it will be a long season. However, I doubt that will happen. Why? Because I have to.

So the team that had more mental mistakes, had more turnovers, averaged less yards per play, and needless to say scored less points is the better team? That seems pretty silly to me. We played probably the worst we could play and still won. Barrman played the best he is ever going to play for KU. I love how the NU fumbles were "caused" by KU but they KU turnovers were their mistakes and not caused by the Big Red. This thread is pretty much the lamest thing that has been posted on this board in a long time.

Here is a what if since that card got played to make your arguement for KU better: What if the incomplete "pass" I mean lateral that McKeon picked up in the 2nd qtr was actually called correctly? The officials didn't make a single or blow their whistles until he had already made it to the freakin 50. There is 7 more points for the Big Red. But the what if's don't matter and 39 to 32 does so who cares.
