How about yesterday on espn when they do all the mini pregame lead ins and mack brown was doing the breakdown. That made me ill.
For me the issue isn't McCoy, he deserves his props. It was the Young love fest. When did the ABC cameras show any former Nebraska players. The game WAS in LINCOLN.I am convinced that the majority of people posting on here think that everyone in the media is an idiot, moron or a$$ if they talk or hype any team other than Nebraska and any player other than one of our stars. Over the past couple of days you were all complaining that the media pumps the Big 10, Notre Dame and other players. Now they focus on Colt McCoy (who I believe is not going to be, but is one of the best QB's in the conference - He's a Freshman and stood in there with poise that I know most other QB's would have had happy feet) and yet you complain again.
I work in marketing and PR, so I'll start working on a press release to ESPN, ABC, NBC, CBS, the NCAA, AP and your grandma that they are not allowed to say anything positive about any other team or player because it upsets Husker Nation.
And yes, I know I'll get bashed and ridiculed for my posts like this, but again that's because you are all too 'die hard' to realize the crap that comes out of your own keyboard.
Sure if you can find the game transcripts where they said he made a great play by getting sacked I'll agree with your point. I must have watched a different game where they 1- did a segment on B-Jax family (and he scores on a higlight play on que - by the way ABC, good job of cutting to his family in the middle of his run?!?!) 2- Talked about the tradition and amazing facilities at Nebraska. Maybe there weren't a ton of major celebrity status former huskers at the game? Nationally people know about and pay attention to V. Young. I'm guessing 1/2 of the audience didn't know or care about Mike Rozier. You mean when Colt fails to convert a 3rd down pass because the Blackshirts sacked him, it's ok for Musberger to say "Colt is a fine young man! Colt made a great play! What an outstanding play for the young QB from Texas!"? I don't mind if they want to talk about the kid. And I agree, he's playing a 200 times better than I expected him to this year. But when I have to listen to those two knuckleheads the entire f*cking game talk about how good Colt is or how his daddy put dirt from Texas under his crib or how he stood on the sideline with his dad at a young age or how often he has bowel movements, I get a little tired of listening to it :hmmm :hmmm :hmmm :hmmm
Do actually believe the stuff you just wrote. I do like getting information about other teams and players but to have a segment on a past player that was at the game spill over a play is ridiculous. Did you enjoy hearing how many times that mccoy was a coaches son. Who gives a sh#t, after the first 3 or 4 times.I am convinced that the majority of people posting on here think that everyone in the media is an idiot, moron or a$$ if they talk or hype any team other than Nebraska and any player other than one of our stars. Haha a Longhorn media darling. Thats funny. We are just about the most hated school in the nation.McCoy is going to be the next media darling QB that we will all get sick of seeing them drool over.
Did I say anything about a conspiracy theory. Let me look NOPE, I was and am stating that there was a disproportional amount of coverage given to a certain team and EX-player. Mike Rozier was a very important part of this program and was getting inducted to the CFHF. Just a mention might have been respectfull. Like I said I like to hear about the opposing team and their stories but they should balance it out. If you cannot see that then that is your opinion. You will not change mine and I will not change yours.Yes, I do believe what I said. Mike Rozier??? I made a point...this is a NATIONALLY televised game. Who would THE COUNTRY rather hear from - a young up and coming dual threat QB who was the MVP of last year's Nat. Championship game or a RB who played 25 years ago? The coverage map covered 80% of the country....about 10% know or care who Rozier is. I'm so sick of the conspiracy theory against Nebraska, players, coaches and fans. And comments like yours prove it.
