Did you guys notice...

I am convinced that the majority of people posting on here think that everyone in the media is an idiot, moron or a$$ if they talk or hype any team other than Nebraska and any player other than one of our stars. Over the past couple of days you were all complaining that the media pumps the Big 10, Notre Dame and other players. Now they focus on Colt McCoy (who I believe is not going to be, but is one of the best QB's in the conference - He's a Freshman and stood in there with poise that I know most other QB's would have had happy feet) and yet you complain again.

I work in marketing and PR, so I'll start working on a press release to ESPN, ABC, NBC, CBS, the NCAA, AP and your grandma that they are not allowed to say anything positive about any other team or player because it upsets Husker Nation.

And yes, I know I'll get bashed and ridiculed for my posts like this, but again that's because you are all too 'die hard' to realize the crap that comes out of your own keyboard.

For me the issue isn't McCoy, he deserves his props. It was the Young love fest. When did the ABC cameras show any former Nebraska players. The game WAS in LINCOLN.

You mean when Colt fails to convert a 3rd down pass because the Blackshirts sacked him, it's ok for Musberger to say "Colt is a fine young man! Colt made a great play! What an outstanding play for the young QB from Texas!"? I don't mind if they want to talk about the kid. And I agree, he's playing a 200 times better than I expected him to this year. But when I have to listen to those two knuckleheads the entire f*cking game talk about how good Colt is or how his daddy put dirt from Texas under his crib or how he stood on the sideline with his dad at a young age or how often he has bowel movements, I get a little tired of listening to it :hmmm :hmmm :hmmm :hmmm

Sure if you can find the game transcripts where they said he made a great play by getting sacked I'll agree with your point. I must have watched a different game where they 1- did a segment on B-Jax family (and he scores on a higlight play on que - by the way ABC, good job of cutting to his family in the middle of his run?!?!) 2- Talked about the tradition and amazing facilities at Nebraska. Maybe there weren't a ton of major celebrity status former huskers at the game? Nationally people know about and pay attention to V. Young. I'm guessing 1/2 of the audience didn't know or care about Mike Rozier.

Do actually believe the stuff you just wrote. I do like getting information about other teams and players but to have a segment on a past player that was at the game spill over a play is ridiculous. Did you enjoy hearing how many times that mccoy was a coaches son. Who gives a sh#t, after the first 3 or 4 times.

All we heard was how dominating texas was during the game and we got very few props when we made the comeback in the second half and scored 2 touchdowns.

Then we here about how texas is a one loss team trying to keep their national title hopes alive how many times.

One more thing, with all of the shots and interviews and commentary about vince young dont you think they could have mentioned or had a video of Mike Rozier. A player that actually won the heisman and had a great pro career. I think he was at the game for some reason other than to be a spectator.

Bash and ridicule you, NO disagree with your assessment YES I DO

GBR and screw abc/espweenie

Don't even get me started about the golden homers and the big ten. Every tv break, they were showing scores of blowouts in the big 10. were they the only teams playing. talking about mich and osu coming up in what 4-5 weeks. Isn't there something a little more relevant to talk about.

This was a poor production by abc. It was very irritating when they were busy showing off their overhead shots and talking about NE's shifts and motions, then the ball is snapped and we are still staring at where the ball was and don't even get to see the play.

Even better when we get to watch the interview of VY and not the game. Nothing like missing a few plays.

Well if we had won I doubt the love would have went to McCoy but he does deserve some credit he was a frosh coming into a hostile enviroment with bad weather conditions. However, we win and someone from our team gets a little love it really doesnt matter. We get the coverage when we win just like UT.

Overall, I think Fox Sports should go with a 24 hour Sports Channel and compete with ESPN since it is ABC anyway.

I don't know... I agree with what you're saying, I was at the game and was fortunate enough not to hear musburger all game :hmmm off colt mccoy but i could see it happening. They could have mentioned a little bit of what was going on at half time with the college football hall of fame induction. I mean for osbornes sake...we had him in attendance and we all know he has done more for the game than vy... :woo ... but loook at the TV time outs, when did they all come on... when nebraska was driving or just made a big play. conspiracy theory here...but maybe they wanted to slow momentum a little bit. I disagree with whomever made the comment about us getting the limelight when we're winning... no we don't... the other team had a bad day, not Nebraska played very well and deserved the win. Look when we beat michigan last year... i know i know last year, but what did they all say about that (outside of a surprised herbstreit) michigan has just been down all game long.... I could care less if we don't get the limelight...i'm one of those just win baby win kinda guys. but they should show things both ways... and texas is not one of the most hated teams in america...i've seen more orange in this state than i can handle

:boxosoap :boxosoap :boxosoap

Yes, I do believe what I said. Mike Rozier??? I made a point...this is a NATIONALLY televised game. Who would THE COUNTRY rather hear from - a young up and coming dual threat QB who was the MVP of last year's Nat. Championship game or a RB who played 25 years ago? The coverage map covered 80% of the country....about 10% know or care who Rozier is. I'm so sick of the conspiracy theory against Nebraska, players, coaches and fans. And comments like yours prove it.

That made me mad when they cut away from the BJax td. On all the highlights now wherever you watch it, they show a different angles because of the mistake they made. But McCoy played better than I thought he would, and is going to be a good player.

Did I say anything about a conspiracy theory. Let me look NOPE, I was and am stating that there was a disproportional amount of coverage given to a certain team and EX-player. Mike Rozier was a very important part of this program and was getting inducted to the CFHF. Just a mention might have been respectfull. Like I said I like to hear about the opposing team and their stories but they should balance it out. If you cannot see that then that is your opinion. You will not change mine and I will not change yours.

GBR
